The Nuts and Bolts of Civic Work with GSD: Dispelling the Myths of Working for the City

Participants will be introduced to the city’s approach to capital projects, including the roles and responsibilities of members of the Real Estate, Design and Construction General Services Department. Giving a better understanding of project management of Civic Architecture in a cradle to grave and beyond approach, and collaborations across the AEC community. This seminar will take a look at award winning projects associated with the City of Houston’s portfolio of work and how these buildings are maintained to continue servicing the community during the lifecycle of the building.
